Probabilistic Data Processing for Supporting Personalized Mobile Location-based Social Network Services

Abstract

This paper proposes query processing technique on probabilistic data stored in spatio-temporal databases to support Personalized Mobile Location-based Social Network Services(LBSNSs). The conventional mobile LBSNSs three major problems. First it did not take privacy protection for user location data into account and therefore cannot provide recommendation services based on user locational preferences. Second it also did not tackle GPS errors and thereby the precision of recommended data is deteriorated. Last effective data management and data processing scheme are not considered in massive data environment. Motivated by these issues, this paper proposes the probabilistic model for location history data and query processing scheme with pruning heuristics to improve the query processing ef ciency and result data precisions.
