Haptic Interaction System For Immersive Farming Experience Education

Abstract

This paper presents a haptic interaction system that provides users with an immersive farming experience. The proposed system consists of haptic shoes, location tracking devices, visual provision devices, and virtual environments providing rigidity information on various terrain using MR fluid-based haptic actuators that can feel as if walking directly in a virtual environment capable of expressing rigidity. The system proposed in this study is expected to provide a more effective farming experience with a high immersive experience because it can express various tactile sensations due to soil conditions (general soil, wet soil, and frozen soil at low temperatures).
