Abstract

This study presents a review of studies related to metaverse-based education and training, paying attention to the recent increase in immersive education and training. In order to examine the possibility that immersive education and training can expand into a metaverse environment, this study aims to understand the latest metaverse-based education and training research trends, focusing on related domestic literature between 2021 and 2022. In particular, the application status of metaverse technology in the field of education and training is reviewed based on keywords to explore the possibility of metaverse-based learning. As a result, It was mainly about the advantages of metaverse education, educational effects, and potential use of metaverse in education and training programs, and it is necessary to explore the impact of metaverse-based educational environments on learners’ learning outcomes and perceptions in the future.
