Abstract

This paper proposes method of remote 3D interface of the orientation and position. The current HMD interface has high spatial and monetary entry barriers because it has to set a speci c device externally. In order to overcome this limitation, this study estimated position and posture using inertial sensors and buttons only. In the limited resources of the microprocessor, we applied various sensor fusion techniques and compared the computation time with its accuracy, and estimated the attitude by applying secondary complement lter. To estimate the position of the device position in real-time system, we double integrate the acceleration sensor value with error compensation model. As a result, 6% error occurred within the distance that the human arm moved.
