Abstract

Tank lorries experience sloshing effects during sudden braking and cornering, compromising driving stability. This issue is particularly critical for fire water tankers, which require high-speed travel, increasing the risk of accidents. This study proposes a pneumatic expansion-contraction tube system to prevent fluid sloshing, overcoming the limitations of traditional bulkhead and baffle structures. Using Ansys Fluent, fluid dynamics simulations were conducted to analyze sloshing behavior under sudden braking and cornering conditions. The results confirm that the proposed system effectively reduces fluid load shifts and stabilizes fluid motion more quickly than conventional methods. This system has potential applications in various tank lorries, including fuel transport vehicles. Future research will focus on experimental validation to further assess its practical effectiveness.
