Abstract

In this study, we propose a silicone rubber based flexible vibrotactile feedback actuator that can be mounted on a flexible mobile device. We made a PDMS-based haptic actuator sample with hard mechanical properties, an Ecoflex-based haptic actuator sample with soft mechanical properties, and a haptic actuator sample using waSiRu5 in which PDMS and Ecoflex were mixed in a weight ratio of 1:5. And then, the dielectric properties and haptic performance for each sample were measured. As a result, it is confirmed that the haptic performance of the actuator using a mixture of PDMS and Ecoflex is superior to the actuator using only PDMS or Ecoflex.
